Club History
An Inaugural Meeting was held on 17th
August 1978 for the purpose of forming a West Highland
White Terrier Club in Victoria.
The meeting was chaired by Mr Bill Burnell with 60
people in attendance and fifty of those people chose to take out a foundation membership on the night.
Mr Burnell spoke on the advantages of having a West
Highland White Terrier Club, explaining all the finer
points, the Club to be for the betterment of the breed,
breeders, exhibitors, owners and all Westie lovers.
2010 saw the club celebrate our 30th Anniversary Championship Show on Sunday September 19th at KCC Park in Skye.
There have been many changes at the club over the years, but one thing has remained constant - our dedication to Westies!
